About us

The Heldscalla Foundation is a series of three projects by SecondLife resident Asher Hebert which aim to demonstrate just some of the more interesting uses for virtual reality environments.

The Heldscalla Gallery allows leading SecondLife based artists to showcase the best contemporary artworks to be found anywhere in the metaverse. We welcome your suggestions of suitable artists to feature in our evolving exhibition spaces. From time to time we will also be featuring the best artists from SecondLife in a real life London gallery. Join the Heldscalla Foundation Events group to be kept informed of what we are offering.

Our opening exhibition featured works by multi media artists Arahan Claveau and Nebulosus Severine. Check out the archive for images from the show.

A video tour of the show can be seen at HERE

Next up at The Heldscalla Gallery is an exhibition entitiled "Fontana 2.0" a - solo show by AnthonyFontana Chevalier which opens on the 17th May 2007.

The second Heldscalla project is bringing live jazz music into SecondLife and it is currently at an advanced stage in its development. We aim to build an SL version of the real world jazz venue "Jazz Live @ The Crypt" and to stream events from the London based club into SL in real time and vice versa. The UK has one of the most vibrant jazz scenes in the world. At "JazzLive @ The Crypt" we currently stage high quality live jazz events on a weekly basis featuring some of the finest jazz groups from around the world. We believe we can bring this high quality experience into SL too. Join the "Jazz Live @ The Crypt" mailing list to get the latest info on this project.

And finally our third exciting project is researching the future uses of MUVEs in real life / virtual life integration. We like SL for its potential uses in Education, Civics and Community Development. We are always seeking new sponsors and partners to help us develop our objectives. Please email me if you would like to discuss our projects in greater depth.

That's it for now. Thank you for stopping by and enjoy what you find.
